Pallet & Truckload Builder

The problem

Wholesalers of drinks, building materials, packaging or food often sell by the pallet or the truckload: a mixed pallet must be complete, a truck must be worth the trip, a product ships by whole cases. Sylius 2 has no minimum, step or multiple of quantity, and no notion of container.

Features

• Container types: pallet, truck, sea container, carton; inner dimensions, load height, payload, places, nested type; indicative presets (EUR, half, UK and US pallets, semi-trailers, 20 ft / 40 ft / 40 ft HC containers, cartons).
• Logistics tab on variants: units per case, case weight, own pallet, sold by whole cases, layer height, stackable.
• Load planner: fill = max(places, payload), the binding constraint shown, lines split into several containers, products on their own pallet kept apart.
• Rules per channel, scope and customer group: full containers only, minimum fill %, multiple of N, maximum containers, allowed container types.
• Layer mode (opt-in): pallets built layer by layer, side view in the gauge, preview on the product page.
• Gauge in the cart: server-side SVG, accessible meter, "add 30 cases to complete pallet 2" buttons, checkout button disabled with the reason.
• Enforcement: checkout completion refused in the shop and the shop API (422); an administrator role can complete an exception, logged on the order.
• Load plan snapshot on the admin order page and in the shop API; per-container shipping calculator and container type shipping rule.
• CSV import / export of capacities.

Installation

1. composer require tmonier/sylius-container-fill-plugin
2. Register Tmonier\SyliusContainerFillPlugin\TmonierSyliusContainerFillPlugin in config/bundles.php.
3. Import @TmonierSyliusContainerFillPlugin/config/config.yaml and the admin routes.
4. Run bin/console doctrine:migrations:migrate (plugin tables only).
5. Optionally load the container type presets, then review them in the admin.

Compatibility

Sylius 2.2.9+ and 2.3; MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL. No core entity is changed.
