- Rates from the buyer's address: AvaTax resolves the rate for the destination of each order, not from a zone-wide rule you maintain by hand.
- Items and shipping: Both travel as transaction lines and are taxed separately, each with its own tax code.
- Scoped to one tax zone: You pick the Sylius zone where AvaTax applies. Orders outside it fall back to your normal Sylius tax configuration.
- Configured from the admin: Account ID, license key, tax zone and origin address are fields in the Sylius admin.
- Translated UI: English and Spanish.
