B2B MCP – AI Assistants for Business Customers

The problem

sylius/mcp-server-plugin exposes a Sylius shop to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol, as a guest. A purchasing manager who reorders every month needs their own account instead: their orders and their prices.

Features

• Sign in with the shop account: OAuth 2.1 authorization server for the MCP endpoint (authorization code with PKCE S256 only, rotating refresh tokens, dynamic client registration, discovery metadata, revocation). The customer approves the assistant on a consent page of their account.
• Find past orders: list_my_orders, get_order with lines, SKU, prices, totals and states.
• Reorder: items of a past order go into the cart at today's prices; each line says added, adjusted or why not.
• Hand over to the checkout: get_checkout_link; no tool places an order, pays, or changes the account, addresses or payment methods. The guest checkout tools of the official server are hidden by default.
• Optional tools registered only when the matching plugin is installed: trade credit statement (with Trade Credit), audit trail of tool calls (with Audit Log), and other tmonier B2B plugins.
• Stay in control: one connection per customer, assistant and channel, listed in My account > AI assistants and in the admin (revoke); audit log of every tool call; rate limits per connection and on the OAuth endpoints.

Installation

1. composer require tmonier/sylius-b2b-mcp-plugin
2. Register Symfony\AI\McpBundle\McpBundle, Sylius\McpServerPlugin\SyliusMcpServerPlugin and Tmonier\SyliusB2bMcpPlugin\TmonierSyliusB2bMcpPlugin in config/bundles.php.
3. Import the configuration and routes of both plugins (no change to security.yaml).
4. Run bin/console doctrine:migrations:migrate.
5. Set a dedicated encryption key (see the README).

Compatibility

Sylius 2.2.9+ and 2.3, Symfony 7.4+ (symfony/mcp-bundle requires 7.3+), sylius/mcp-server-plugin 0.2 (beta). The shop must be reachable over HTTPS on a public host name.
