AI Catalog Copilot

The problem

Writing and translating product texts is the slowest part of catalogue work. Language models are good at it, but a merchant cannot let them publish unreviewed texts: models invent facts, and in the EU some environmental claims are banned when they are not substantiated.

Features

• Copilot toolbar in each locale of the product Translations tab: generate the description, short description, meta description or meta keywords.

• Translate a product field by field from the default locale.

• Pending suggestions: every answer is a suggestion to accept or reject; a side-by-side page compares the current and the suggested text. Nothing is published without a human.

• Suggestions grid with filters, per-row and bulk accept / reject.

• Never overwrite a human: a suggestion is refused when the field changed since it was generated.

• Facts only: prompts give the model the product name, categories, attributes and options as the only facts; no customer data.

• EU environmental claims: generic claims not backed by an ecolabel attribute are flagged before review; carbon-neutrality claims are always removed.

• Clean output: plain text, length limits, warnings shown on the suggestion.

• Provenance markers: model and dates stored per field written from a suggestion, admin badge, optional shop notice.

• Bulk generation command, capped per run.

• Demo generator to try the workflow without an API key.

• Models: Mistral, OpenAI, Anthropic, a self-hosted Ollama and others, through Symfony AI.

Installation

1. composer require tmonier/sylius-ai-catalog-copilot-plugin and the Symfony AI bridge of your provider (for example symfony/ai-mistral-platform).

2. Register Symfony\AI\AiBundle\AiBundle and Tmonier\SyliusAiCatalogCopilotPlugin\TmonierSyliusAiCatalogCopilotPlugin in config/bundles.php.

3. Import @TmonierSyliusAiCatalogCopilotPlugin/config/config.yaml and the admin routes.

4. Run bin/console doctrine:migrations:migrate.

5. Configure your model (see the README); without one, the demo generator shows the workflow.

Compatibility

Sylius 2.2 and 2.3; MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL. Symfony AI is 0.x: the plugin pins ^0.14 and follows each Symfony AI minor release. Symfony 6.4 is not supported (Symfony AI requires 7.3+).
